How It Works
Rust Shield is built around a core written in Rust, a systems programming language known for its speed and memory safety. That choice is not just a technical detail: it lets us scan quickly and run continuously without the heavy footprint or the whole classes of memory-safety bugs that can affect software written in older languages. The result is protection that feels light because it is light.
Signature Scanning
The first layer of detection compares files against a database of known malware signatures. When a file matches a known-bad fingerprint, Rust Shield flags it immediately. This is fast and precise for threats that have already been identified and catalogued.
Heuristic Scanning
Because new malware appears constantly, signatures alone are not enough.
